The network AIRBIOTA (funded by Comunidad de Madrid) is a consortium of different research teams (UPM, Centro de Biologia Molecular ‘Severo Ochoa’ UAM-CSIC, UCM and Instituto ‘Nicolás Cabrera’ UAM) joined with the goal to characterize and model the biological pollution of Madrid urban air, using  the latest techniques in DNA sequencing (metagenomics) and population and statistical analyses.

The annual workshop of the consortium, organized and sponsored by the ‘Nicolás Cabrera’ Institute and IMA Ingeniería Medioambiental, will take place on 19th February in the Conference Room of the Science Faculty. You can download the program here. Attendance to invited talks are open to any interested audience.
