OBJECTIVES
The aim of this school is to show the students the potential of Synchrotron Light (SL) in analysing materials. To this end, a review of current techniques of characterization of materials will be presented, including the main physical aspects of the different parts of the machine and beam-lines. Not only well established techniques will be presented but also new trends and perspectives of SL will be discussed.
PROGRAM
Experimental aspects: Machine and beam-lines
Diffraction
Spectroscopies
Nanomaterials and Microscopies
Magnetic Materials
Biological Materials
Applications to Industry, Medicine, Art and Archaeology
