Rodolfo Miranda, 2021 ‘Miguel Catalán’ Research Award from the Community of Madrid

Rodolfo Miranda

Rodolfo Miranda Soriano, professor in the Department of Condensed Matter Physics at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM) and director of the IMDEA Nanoscience Foundation, has received the “Miguel Catalán” Research Award 2021, which recognizes Professor Miranda’s scientific career. Specifically, Rodolfo Miranda’s research has contributed decisively to the development of Nanotechnology in Spain, creating a school in our country in the field of Surface Physics, introducing Scanning Tunneling Microscopy, Magnetism in low-dimensional systems or  Ultra-High-Vacuum Surface Physical-Chemistry.
Rodolfo is a long time member of Instituto Nicolás Cabrera (INC) and was its Director during 2004-2007.
